“Kang Min-ho is unlikely to play for a while.”
Samsung Lions catcher Kang Min-ho was hit by a check-swinging pitch from Lee Ji-young in the top of the seventh inning of the 2023 메이저놀이터 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League game against the Kiwoom Heroes at Samsung Lions Park in Daegu on April 20. Samsung manager Park Jin-man, who was interviewed before the 21st game against Daegu Kiwoom, said, “There is nothing wrong with the bone. But the swelling hasn’t gone down, so we’ll have to wait and see,” Park said, adding, “It’s not easy for him to play for a few days. He might suddenly get better. We’ll see day by day.”
Samsung made a few roster changes ahead of the game. Instead of starting pitcher Won Tae-in, pitcher Park Se-woong and infielder Ahn Joo-hyung, the team sent down pitcher Moon Yong-ik and infielders Kim Jae-sang and Kim Young-woong.
Won Tae-in, who was sent down to the second team 메이저놀이터 주소 on Nov. 11 due to back pain, will pitch a normal number of innings. “He will pitch as many pitches and innings as he can,” Park said.
Samsung’s starting lineup was Kim Ji-chan (second base), Kim Hyun-joon (center field), Lee Jae-hyun (shortstop), Jose Pirela (left field), Kim Jae-sung (first base), Kim Dong-yup (designated hitter), Kim Tae-gun (catcher), Gong Min-kyu (third base), and Ryu Seung-min (right field). Lee Jae-hyun batted third for the first time this season. Kim Dong-yeop returned to the starting lineup.
