Real Madrid have been dealt a blow by Borussia Dortmund as Jude Bellingham, 19, who has reached a basic agreement, will go under the knife with a knee injury.
Bellingham made 42 official appearances this season, scoring 14 goals and providing seven assists. The team finished as runners-up to Bayern 안전놀이터 Munich, but he was named MVP of the season.
Reports have already surfaced that Bellingham is headed to Real. On June 26, it was reported by Spain’s Marca that “Real have reached a preliminary agreement with Dortmund to sign Bellingham. A six-year contract with a minimum transfer fee of 100 million euros ($141.5 million), with bonus clauses,” and it became a reality.
However, on the 30th, the UK’s Daily Mail broke the shocking news. “Bellingham is suffering from chronic left knee pain. He has been taping it and playing through it, but depending on the condition, he could have surgery,” the paper revealed.
“Bellingham was named in England’s squad for the Euro2024 qualifiers in June, but is likely to leave the squad. He has been linked with a move to Real this summer. A knee operation would mean a lengthy absence, which could affect his future.”
