Starter Jose Berrios pitched six innings, allowing one run on four hits with three walks and six strikeouts. The Mets opened the scoring in the second inning on an RBI single by Starling Marte and an RBI double by Daniel Vogelback.
Toronto put runners on first and second with no outs in the sixth on a Brandon Belt double and a Matt Chapman walk. Whit Merrifield and Dalton Bashaw walked, but Alejandro Kirk followed with an RBI single to tie the game at 1-1.
In the ninth, George Springer led off with a single and stole second, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. followed with an RBI double.
