The LG Twins have reclaimed sole possession of first place in the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) standings a day after 메이저사이트 sacrificing their ‘Jamsil rivals’, the Doosan Bears.
LG won 15-3 in Game 7 of the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League against Doosan at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul on April 18. They avenged a 4-7 loss the day before and swept the three-game weekend series.
LG got a strong start from Adam Plutko, who pitched a complete game seven-hitter, striking out nine and walking one. He didn’t issue a single four-pitch walk and dominated the Doosan offense to pick up his ninth win of the season.
The bats bombarded the Doosan mound, pounding out the team’s second multi-hit game of the season. Hong Chang-ki went 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs, Park Hae-min went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs, Kim Hyun-soo went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs, Austin went 4-for-3 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored, Moon Bo-kyung went 2-for-5 with a home run and one RBI, and Kim Min-sung went 4-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs.
With the win, LG improved to 39 wins, 24 losses and two ties on the season (0.619 winning percentage), moving from second to first place by half a game over 안전놀이터순위 the SSG Landers (38 wins, 24 losses and one tie, 0.613 winning percentage), who were swept by the Lotte Giants. They also maintained their absolute dominance in the season series against Doosan, winning 5-2.
LG head coach Yeom Kyung-yup said after the game, “Plutko pitched his best game as the pillar of our starting pitching staff. In the offense, the top and bottom of the lineup performed evenly, and we were able to solve the game easily,” he said.
