Lee Jeong-hoo was expected to be replaced early as he was recovering from ankle surgery last July.

Koo Chang-mo, who had been rehabilitating throughout the season due to a left arm injury, recently appeared in a second-team game, but was unable to show his condition.

Among the 24 confirmed players, the KBO plans to consider replacing them for the remaining period if any player’s performance deteriorates due to injury.

The Hangzhou Asian Games baseball team, led by coach Ryu Joong-il, will begin its first training at Gocheok Sky Dome on the 23rd and hold a practice game on the 26th.

After completing five days of joint training in Korea, they will depart for Hangzhou, China on the 28th.

Korean baseball will play its first game against Hong Kong on October 1.
